Your submission of information to us

If you are an agent, an employee, a sole proprietorship buyer or seller, or a representative of any buyer or subscriber:

 In order to register for a Platform account on behalf of a Buyer or Seller, you will be required to submit specific contact information, such as name, address, phone number, email address, ID or passport number, plot number, career information, work title, and department;

 You will be required to supply specific identifying information, tax registration information, and/or associated information about your firm, including your company name, business type and industry, information about your corporate registration, and data about your business license;

 We will also ask you for information regarding the items and products you intend to offer through the Platform and specifics regarding your sales and transactions on Discount.co.ke if you are a Seller;

 If you are a Buyer, we will additionally ask you for information regarding the items and products you might be interested in purchasing through the Platform as well as any information regarding your past transactions;

 In addition to the data indicated above, if Discount.co.ke successfully certifies you as a blogger or influencer, we may also gather your live stream videos, your social network account names and profile pictures, as well as posts or comments made by other Platform users;

 You will be asked for specific payment details in connection with the facilitation of transactions, purchases, and payments on the Platform. This may include bank account numbers, billing and delivery information, credit/debit card numbers, expiration dates, security code, and tracking information from checks or money orders.

 Any information that is supplied to us in connection with disputes or complaints will be processed. This may include the health information of customers who have purchased products from the Platform. The person(s) concerned have given their express agreement for their data to be shared with us in order to handle complaints and/or resolve disputes.

 Your submissions to the Platform for publication run the risk of being made publicly available on the Platform and so available to anybody with internet access. When selecting the information you submit to us for publication, please use caution.

 If you decide to sign up for a Platform account using a social network account, we might obtain personal data about you from such sites. Your name, email address, corporate information, and the contacts for company representatives might be included in this.  Discount.co.ke uses data from its users to improve the content and layout of the Platform, as well as the product offerings and services offered on the site.

 Cookies assist us in providing services and goods that we think you'll find valuable and

interesting. You might receive ads based on cookies based on your surfing habits and interests.

In cases where it is necessary by law, we will get your permission before communicating with

 If you are a Buyer, we will share details of the last viewed products on the Platform to enable Sellers to contact you with details of products and/or services that might interest you. You can opt not to share this information with Sellers via the Buyer Privacy Settings here.

 We use your photos, videos, contact information in your address book, and other personal information to respond to your requests. When you use services that require access to contents stored in and/or functions on your mobile device, we may use this information to improve our services.

 If and where permitted by applicable data protection regulations, we may additionally use your personal information for other purposes (such as public interest archiving, historical or scientific research, or statistical purposes) that are not incompatible with the ones we have revealed to you.

C. DISCLOSURE OR SHARING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

 When necessary, other Platform Users will be involved in the facilitation of any transactions and communications that you and the other users may have.

 Privacy and data protection policies apply to members of Discount Business Center and their respective affiliates and/or their designated service providers that work with us to provide processing services such as software, tools, systems and messaging services.

 We use data from third party marketing and advertising platforms, such as Google, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, to tailor the content you see when visiting our Platform.  Information on payment service providers who gather and use personal data to help with transaction payments or handle withdrawal requests for sellers is provided on this page. This Privacy Policy is not intended to apply to these firms, who may have their own privacy policies in place.

 Credit risk assessment providers to determine whether a Seller can be permitted to make a fund withdrawal;

 Logistics partners for providing delivery services for Buyers, including return and exchange of products;

 Custom agents for customs clearances.
