Chicken Livers with sweet pepper and onionsIt's a traditional Kenyan recipe where chicken livers are sauteed in olive oil with bell peppers, onions, garlic and seasoned with allspice.

ChickenIngredients:1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil700g Kenchic Chicken liver1 green bell pepper, seeded and sliced1 red bell pepper, seeded and sliced1 large sliced onion2 cloves garlic, minced1 teaspoon allspice1 teaspoon soy sauce

Method

  1. Heat the oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the red peppers, green peppers, onion, and garlic.
  2. Cook and stir for 5 minutes until peppers and onions begin to soften.
  3. Cook and stir for 5 minutes until peppers and onions begin to soften.
  4. Add the liver to the pan, allspice, and soy sauce. Cook and stir until the liver is cooked through, about 10 minutes.
  5. Serve warm/hot with rice
